I am a firm believer that it's not the words but the meaning behind them. Calling someone a "Cool motherfucker" isn't as bad as saying "You are one dirty fucker". Likewise saying bitch can mean two different things, both with different meanings. It's all about the intention, in my opinion.

I don't really see what the big deal is with 'swear' words. But then again, I am also given up on my quest to understand this concept of 'offense' that I hear so much about. Words are important and powerful, yes, but when one ooks at the origin and power source they lose a bit of that said power because the only power they have is what society gives them. They are just words after all and talk is cheap.

Well, in a way, i agree. Still, swear words cannot be used allways, and at any occasion.
