boo–hoorah theory

If one twin or one triplet is terminated, it’s only for a very good reason. Sometimes the placenta is unequally shared, so the wrk twin is terminated to save the life of the other twin. It happened to friends of mine. After being killed, the dead foetus became absorbed into the body of the pregnant woman. It simply melted away.

Those are the exceptions, @snapdragon. We're talking about a fetus being killed simply because they don't want 2 or 3 kids.

I wouldn’t say exceptions. It’s a tricky procedure and not one to be undertaken for no good reason. You seem to be arguing about something that doesn’t happen, but even if it did, it’s none of my business. Only the woman concerned knows why she’s deciding to terminate one foetus out of 2 or 3 or more. If she’s prepared to undergo what is a delicate and dangerous operation, then whatever reason she and her surgeon may have is good enough for me.
