These "call it like it is" posts are pretty stupid. I could legitimately say "CNN tells it like it is and conservatives can't take it", since they instantly bitch and call it fake, which is kinda an extreme of not taking it. It is a lame kind of burn to say someone tells it like it is, as if they have a monopoly on truth.

The funny thing is how wrong they get, like the Trump tells it like it is... he's blatantly lied on more than one occasion. His "telling it like it is" is "telling it like he fantasizes because he has no grasp of his own context or will to be wrong"

Thank fuck you said it. I was going to propose a ban on the cliche until confronted with the fact that banning things was also itself terribly cliche.

Trey Gowdy is essentially a self loving publicity seeking asshole of the type that abounds in government. His specialty seems to be running numerous "investigations" of the Benghazi incident that cost taxpayers millions of dollars and prove nothing.

Good idea!

That is one of the worst types of public figures in the world. People like him just have no concept of money, like how hard taxpayers work to earn their yearly incomes or how hard they fight to keep their jobs.

Harold Watson "Trey" Gowdy III (born August 22, 1964) is an American attorney, politician and former prosecutor. He currently serves as the U.S. Representative for South Carolina's 4th congressional district. He is a member of the Tea Party movement and the Republican Party His district includes much of the Upstate region of South Carolina, including Greenville and Spartanburg.

Before his election to Congress, Gowdy was the district attorney for the state's Seventh Judicial Circuit, comprising Spartanburg and Cherokee Counties. From 1994 to 2000, he was a federal prosecutor for the U.S. Attorney for the District of South Carolina.

In 2014, Gowdy became chairman of a House Select Committee to investigate the 2012 Benghazi attack.

In July 2015, Republican nominee Donald Trump named Gowdy as a possible nominee for Attorney General in a Trump cabinet. In late December 2015, Gowdy endorsed Senator Marco Rubio for president, praising him as a rarity among elected officials for having kept his campaign promises. Gowdy's endorsement strained his relations with Donald Trump's campaign; Trump said that Gowdy had "failed miserably on Benghazi". Rubio withdrew from the race in March, after losing his home state of Florida to Trump. Two months later, on May 20, Gowdy endorsed Trump for president, admitting that while he was a "Rubio guy", he would support the presumptive Republican nominee.

Quixote Pass, CO — A man in Colorado has sent Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-Dumbfuckistan) a $7 million billing invoice “on behalf of every U.S. taxpayer” for the money Gowdy and his House Select Benghazi committee spent.

Over the course of two years, Gowdy led an investigation into the September 11th, 2012 attacks on a U.S. compound in Libya. While many promises were made that evidence would be found that showed extreme negligence, if not willful misconduct, by people in the Obama administration — especially then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton — no actual new evidence was brought to light during the course of the investigation.

The waste of taxpayer money infuriated Michael Sculley, so he sent Gowdy a billing invoice from his Quickbooks account with a note saying, “The next time you want to spend seven million bucks, try paying off people’s medical debt or student loans, you Draco Malfoy-looking motherfucker.”
