He mentions Trayvon Martin and Ahmoud Arbery as examples of community policing and wonders if these BLM activists and Democrat councilmen have placed any thought behind their 'plans'.

Minneapolis City Council voted in a veto-proof supermajority to dismantle their police department. They vowed to replace the department with a "transformative model of public safety" which will include a form of community policing.

And that's interesting because other cases involving "community police" with an undesired outcome are routinely mentioned as abuses of power. The city council decision may be ultimately useless without the power to do more going to a vote for citizens of Minneapolis to decide.
