Another two brazen lies. Race-mixing is not forced. The Chinese Communist Party has decided it wants more mixed-ethnicity couples and has decided to subsidize them as a method of social engineering... But nobody is actually forcing or planning to force these couples to form- Why resort to coercion when bribery will suffice? .

In fact in the absence of sexual policing by the State or their communities people from different ethnic groups sharing cities and workplaces do in fact screw out of their own volition. Uyghurs don't mix with Hans very much partly because of religious reasons and partly out of ethnic conflict. FWIW, I don't think this policy will actually destroy the Uyghurs, it's not like they're all so wretchedly poor that they're going to match up with whoever the government pays them to.
