I'm interested in a far-left user group that would be comprised of members of either left anarchists or Communists of any stripe. As a supporter I would qualify for half of the twenty percent requirement.

I am NOT interested in being group leader. Its something I simply don't have time to manage and one position on PoFo is enough. I would give my full support to any responsible donor willing to join and be the group leader.

Who's interested? Goldberk? Tig? Paradigm? I don't know who are supporters that might be interested in this.

Hell, I'm interested enough.

There are all kinds of interesting things I suppose that we could do from this. I'll reluctantly be leader if nobody else wants it.

Are we going to have enough active people though?

Has Mike made the transition to the red side yet? I'm in the middle of grading and am stumped by a lot of things right now, and I'm just not drawing a lot of people in general I guess. Let's start by composing names of people we might want in.

Red Barn certainly.

Could I penetrate your group so I can keep records? I'm interested in anthropology and I see communism as a very interesting phenomenon. I give you assurances the information will be logged in by the NSA anyway, so you don't have to fear that I'll turn you in to any repressive org set up by the evil west.

I'm interested in joining this user-group/club (and hopefully start posting again), and I'm a forum supporter. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be active enough to moderate it though.

Can I join too? I'll even bring along my own card index system. I promise I won't be any trouble to anyone at all....

Hey, given the number of "supporters" who want to join, I would also like to join as number of supporters will still remain 20% with another non supporter filth joining in.

Also, don't we actually already have such a group : http://www.soviet-empire.com/ussr/

I was thinking about the Soviet-Empire thing myself. I know some of you aren't familiar with the '07 Pofo Parliament affair, but in it the Anarchists and Communists formed a bloc and took over the world... LOL (W/ special thanks to ingliz)

I envision such a union here as well. This makes a subtle difference in that, at least according to my understanding, the anarchists would have some mandate where on SE they may be tolerated (or not, I haven't checked), but they aren't part of the focus.

I'm sorry Social_Critic, but no. Ambroise and Fuser, good to see you! TCR, you too.

Everyone else, welcome aboard! We just need a few more to get this rolling. If you know anyone, please invited them!

Red Barn, Brio, Kurt, newbs on our side I don't know yet?

Just out of curiosity, what is the point of said group? What function would an organized group fill that various threads do not already cover? Is "group" just another term for "party", like the "Irish Party" and others, that one sees on the forum?

I don't know any of these people people personally, but I think they might be good. Perhaps one of our leaders can send them invitations.

KlassWar. He's as intelligent and knowledgeable as they come, completely unabashed and straightforward in his views (which are a blend of a Communism and anarchism), and he combines that with a quirky no-nonsense style of presentation. Very good on the practicality and technicality of politics as well. A thoroughly enjoyable poster to read.

Someone5 and anticlimacus would also be welcome additions. I think they're both of the libertarian socialist/anarchist variety, but are quite aware of Marx and somewhat influenced by him. Both are eloquent and insightful posters with a great knack for explaining things, all sorts of things but particularly economic and working-class issues and in a very practical manner, to enemies and allies alike; anticlimacus is also quite the philosophy buff.

Vera Politica: Nuff said.

Hello?

I actually, rather foolishly in my grading state, assumed you and Potemkin and Honi and Co. were going to be in. I should have made the acknowledgement.

Just out of curiosity, what is the point of said group? What function would an organized group fill that various threads do not already cover? Is "group" just another term for "party", like the "Irish Party" and others, that one sees on the forum?

The first rule of red club is that you don't talk about red club.

And as Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes said, "People pay more attention to you when they think you're up to something."

I didn't mean anything by it. Are you interested in this?

As anyone who has observed the Far Left for any length of time will be aware, they have an infinite ability to disagree with each other*. Consequently such a group would be ideally suited to a private forum.

Gorkiy Park is supposed to be "no-politics". It would be nice to get back to that.

*See Dagoth Ur's comment above!

I don't even know what you're trying to say right now. I must protest...

Ha ha! We have seven. Dagoth did not confirm. Any of those listed above would be great if they're interested. We have at least four doners so we're covered there.
