Shayton Equilibrium: New Supercar Project From Slovenia
A new supercar maker called Shayton (falcon in the Sioux language) from Slovenia has big plans with their Equilibrium supercar – to go against the most exclusive and powerful cars in the world.
The Shayton Equilibrium was designed by Andrej Stanta and Dominik Cernelic and looks like a mixture of Ferrari Enzo, New Lotus Esprit, Maserati MC-12 and Aston Martin One-77. That’s not a bad thing as all these cars look gorgeous.
Power will come from a V12 engine that has an output of 1084bhp and 686 lb-ft of torque. Coupled to a sequential geartbox, the Equilibrium is expected to reach 62mph in 2.9 seconds, while the top speed is over 249mph.
Total weigh will be around 1200kg, thanks to carbon-titanium chassis, carbon-titanium wheels and carbon body panels.
Today the Equilibrium only exists in the digital world, but if all goes as planned, around 20 cars will be built a year, each one priced at around £1,000,000.
Ha. I wonder if they'll manage to pull this through. They do seem overly optimistic.
"Nations ... as an inherent political destiny, are a myth. Nationalism, which sometimes takes preexisting cultures and turns them into nations, sometimes invents them, and often obliterates preexisting cultures: that is a reality." - E. Gellner
