Why do I find Socialism so unappealing? - Page 6 - Politics Forum.org | PoFo

Wandering the information superhighway, he came upon the last refuge of civilization, PoFo, the only forum on the internet ...

As either the transitional stage to communism or legitimate socio-economic ends in its own right.

I still don't get it, or rather, I don't think you get it.

Did you read what BurrsWogdon was asking?

Note:
No hyperbole... seriously

I was simply pointing out that "eventuality of barbarism" would be resource dependent. Please don't try to apply any psychobabble here as my line of thought is physical and consequential...Take time to click the link on Easter Island...It is very informative and will "help" you to understand my line of thought....Cheers

Your line of reasoning is irrationally specific to communism. If anything, communism would be more sustainable due to the reduction in unnecessary wants. That is, assuming you're treating it like the Easter Island folk.

Are you? I'm fucking confused between whether you're saying something that is plain idiotic, or based on faulty reasoning/premises.

I am assuming you are referring to this:
"Communism over time could undermine the human spirit to accept that the flesh is nothing more than an available resource."

This is a simple reply to dialog between BurrsWogdon and Vera Politica where communism was my/their premise in line with the discussion.
I also believe however:
"Capitalism over time could undermine the human spirit to accept that the flesh is nothing more than an available resource."
I have already answered your concern :?: ?once when Potemkin asked this:
Surely it is capitalism which has that tendency, as it reduces the majority of people to the status of mere factors of production?

..and I answered this:
I agree 100% with you on that

Fine.

Faulty reasoning then.

Why do I find socialism unappealing? Sorry, but I find it appealing. I would relate to you an experience I had with the Communist Party of Canada. I once attended a seminar sponsored by the Communist Party of Canada. Somebody bluntly asked me if I was a spy. I answered,, yes, I am". "Then why are you here?" asked the Chairman of the Communist Party of Canada. "I am here to debate in defense of parliamentary struggle vis-a-vis Jose Maria Sison's armed struggle. I understand, Chairman Figueroa, that you too espouse parliamentary struggle which makes you a good person and a communist in good faith. Besides, I love arguing for the Leniinist centralist economy to which CPUSA is antagonistic by way of suggesting market socialism. As long as poverty exists, there will always be government spies who will "argue" for socialism despite the fact that isolated incidents of poverty are not valid arguments against democratic capitalism. Excuse me sir for intruding here. I assure you that I have no wiretap taped to my body. I just love debating"-end of quote.

"Proceed with the lecture then. You (ihofidel) are excused"-God saved Miguel Figueroa, Chairman, Communist Party of Canada/

Can someone clarify for me if ihofidel is a communist or not? He also rants about obama being a communist, and even likened it to fascism (I think, I can never understand his posts) in P&D.

I am both communist and bourgoisie. I can also be a socialist and an effective leader at both. It all depends on the circumstances. By now you should know what cordon sanitaire or buffer means. I aspired to be a communist leader to be a buffer to Communist Party of the Philippines-New People's Army, a terrorist political party. A buffer is one who lessens the damages inflicted by this terrorist group lessening the damage or injuries brought about by violent purges which one can anticipate knowing fully well that the present leadership of the CPP=NPA is greatly divided. Divisions were brought about by assassinations committed not in the name of communism but because of some imaginary whims and caprices by the present leader. If I ever I become the leader, I will uphold the rule of law. Cases on treason shall be tried by jury. Litigants shall be afforded due process..This is the first time in the history of communism that litigants are granted their rights laid down in the Bill of Rights. At present cases are decided by an omnipotent kangaroo court where the defendant is assured of conviction. Sometimes they are tried by direct democracy or mob rule where the raising of hands shall surely prevail against the defendant. And because the mob is closely monitored and watched, they will act like zombies or robots where the raising of hands to affirm the decision will surely prevail. Now, do you want to live in this kind of mobocratic rule. Surely you don't conscript.

I can also be a flexible socialist to preempt the villains in a Rambo movie shot in Burma where the lady prisoners were all raped by the RAM-SFPs, a military organization in the Philippine which staged 6 coup attempts against the democratic government of President Corazon Aquino. I intend to challenge the present leadership headed by Gringo Honasan to preempt human rights violations, muzzling of free speech and press, etc. You can base my deportment on the way I respond to posters in this forum. You see, that posters here can make me ann object of ridicule without retaliation, etc...I assure you I would be a wise and passionante leader..
