No, the State in Guild Socialism is not comparable to the Workers' State of Marxism-Leninism. The latter is supposed to be ran in the interests of the working class, the former is bound to do so.

I don't know that there are many, when you get right down to it. Guild Socialism just has a cultural gloss of mediaevalism.

I don't consider Syndicalism and Guild Socialism to be contradictory terms. For a contemporary group (though not a particularly active one), espousing Guild Socialism, see here.

If I were to categorise myself it would be as a Guild Socialist.
