Pele is touted as the greatest ever footballer. This reverence for Pele and image of Pele being holier than thou is drummed into toddlers learning about the game as well as in the general football public by the mainstream media and football pundits and so-called experts.

I got to make it clear that I have absolutely nothing whatsoever against Pele but Ive always looked at Pele in an objective way and not been sucked into this mass Pele lovefest and reverence which children and adults have been brought up to adhere to and participate in.
