Probably kalamata olives. I don't think Panera would ever carry anything other than green Spanish-style, black Mission, or the blackish/purple kalamata.

I think they were the black mission olives. They were juicy and sort of sweet. I tried the kalamata ones and they reminded me of prunes, I wanted to gag. The kalamata ones were on the dry side.
