The new "Quick Sig" brand heralds the advent of a new type of temp sig. Quick sigs are not numismatic (unlike regular Qatzel Ok sigs), and that's because they have a relatively short shelf life.

A short shelf life, however, in no way diminishes the purpose or quality of Quick Sigs. Like dairy products, they can't be kept exposed for very long, but are nonetheless as important to the diet as canned foods that keep much longer (like regular Qatzel Ok sigs).

We hope you enjoy this first, pioneer Quick Sig for a limited time only!!

And I would have liked it more if our news media had shown some compassion for the 19 people who were killed in a terror attack in Algeria the day after these Europeans were killed.

Selective compassion is propaganda, not real.

Ethno-centrism and so on...

What to say about the 40000 persons dying daily from lack of food and that no one never speaks about then

Selective compassion "for your own gang" is another hideous form of racism and ethnocentrism.

Humans are humans, and death is death. There is no other distinction to be made. The discriminatory use of compassion is artificial and propaganda inspired.

I can find absolutely no reference online to a recent terrorist attack in Algeria. There have been major attacks in Lebanon and Nigeria since the Paris shootings, however.

The selective compassion thing is real, though. I'm particularly disgusted by the proportional ignoring of the Taliban's murder of 100+ school children in Pakistan.

Selective compassion is universal, and even with the best intentions easier to spot in others than in oneself. Is it better to be openly contemptuous of compassion, as is the case with so many in PoFo? I don't think so, but that's probably why I am such a failure at being a radical. The scope of brutality is so vast that it becomes treacherous to single out any single case without being accused of selectiveness...and maybe the accusations are correct anyway. The best most of us can do is identify with as wide a swath of humanity as possible.

So because you identify with a group that is anti-Muslim, you feel some kind of fake compassion for these victims? How humanistic of you.

No it isn't. It's modern - a combination of identity politics and modern economic-political propaganda. It's a fake imitation of something real - like GMO corn.

People only care in so far as they are told to care. Caring about everything and everyone is a logical impossibility.

If it weren't this way, the bleeding heart liberals of the West would be watching, 'liking' and sharing basement execution videos, prison rape videos, every story that involves sawing some kid's neck off in some sub-Saharan African village cesspit at the hands of primitives on account of blasphemy; stories of child prostitution, human trafficking, and all types of brutal disembowelments with blunt weapons - twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and we'd all be frozen in a state of perpetual outrage at all of the intolerable suffering. Instead, the bleeding heart liberals scowl at the one boring monthly viral video that comes around like the one of that one woman being catcalled in New York City and sobbing about the unfairness of the world because of that.

Pretending to care about everything is in itself hypocritical. There's no reason to do it, it can never be done, and nobody should ever even try to do it. All pretending to care about everybody in the world does is enfeeble and disable us at the sight of this 'emotional pornography' whenever it pops up. It's necessary to discriminate about those you do care for and those you do not, otherwise the love itself is cheapened. It's also important not to bother caring about things that are far, far beyond our control (and that includes all of these sad 'heartbreaking' soppy stories or videos that pop up on the internet).

There is no 'humanity', and we are not 'all in this together', basically.

Pretty sure that the group of children that was killed was almost 100% Muslim...

Oh, wait, you have to be a French-Canadian luddite Islamic convert in order to be fully human. I forgot.

Describing the way nothing is sacred anymore to rich Westerners, Noob wrote:People only care in so far as they are told to care. Caring about everything and everyone is a logical impossibility.

You're right. Mass media programs our minds and tells us what to care about with constructed propaganda narratives, soundtracks, and an endless repetition of the same tired cliches and racial stereotypes. There is nothing sacred whatsoever in the West. We're secular (laique) in the sense that we don't care about our fellow man or the harm we do to the planet collectively because our media soothes us and tells us we're cool.

And this Charlie meme is another one of these racial-cliche-charged memes that commerce has created (not god).

Yes, my identity brands have been negatively teinted by an anglo-commercial media that's addicted to selling new gadgets and conquering new hinterlands.

Your compassion is just as theoretical as the Charlie sign carriers. And I would never turn my back to you.

Mass media tells us who to trust: International capital and multinational corporations.

It's a huge part of our problem as a society that we're taught not to trust one another, and instead put all our fabricated faith in the objects that we can buy and the conglomerates who sell them.
