Uhm, I don't have anything valuable to add but I wanted to clear one thing up. Germany doesn't have a "Market Socialist" economy. It's got a social market economy (soziale Marktwirtschaft) which could also be called Rhine capitalism. Market Socialism is something else altogether.

I always get confused on where to put the social and socialist when it comes do market and democracy.

I wonder if you can do something like that without the State.

Like you just do it through ways like social networking websites, charter schools, private neighborhoods....hmmm.
