Indeed. When Yukio Mishima was giving a lecture to a group of extreme left-wing Japanese student activists in the 1960s, he engaged in a *ahem*
'lively' political debate with them afterwards. His final statement to them was: "We agree about almost everything, but I have an ace up my sleeve: the Emperor." That pretty much sums up the Japanese far-right, in my opinion.
