Floating

I rode down a river
In a heavy downpour
I didn’t have a sail
And I didn’t have an oar

I floated to find
Where life would carry me
It turned me every which way
Then cast me into the sea

By night, I watched the stars
And made pictures with clouds by day
Nourished by sheer anxiety
Propelled by waves of fate

Having no destination
Keeps me not in a hurry
Just soaking in the beauty
Of a most uncertain journey
