Hi everyone, so as it says I'm looking for an incisive book about Japanese Culture & History along with it economic sucess.
I've searched a little bit and it seems like these two seem quite interesting, anyone recommends any of them? Do you have other suggestion?

George Bailey Sansom's three volume history of Japan covers the medieval and early modern period (up to Commodore Perry) in intense detail and is currently reprinted in facsimile.
