Well, funny thing is that Gene Simmons of KISS discovered the band Van Halen and set them on the road to superstardom. I met him once, we talked about Classical Music and how popular tastes had declined in the modern era

Van Halen is a good choice, they do tend to have a more diverse selection of songs. Eddie's chops on the guitar are indeed great. I preffered the Vah Halen era with Sammy Hagan, in it.
