I am more than cynical about US industry's response to the Paris accord withdrawal. As large multinationals they must comply in order to sell into markets overseas. They don't care about the climate. They care about loosing US market share.

The American presidency is, in many ways, sort of an elected monarchy, in which a temperamentally and intellectually unqualified leader can do immense damage.

That’s what’s happening now. And we’re barely one-tenth of the way through Trump’s first term. The worst, almost surely, is yet to come.

Stock market up 100 points just this morning and no one has been sent to the interment camps yet. What damage is Trump doing?

Most Americans don’t have any stocks to their name. In fact, many Americans don’t even have any savings to their name. Those 25 to 34 have a median amount saved for retirement in the sum of zero dollars. So this incredible stock market has largely produced nothing for most American families.

There are a variety of types of monarchies from absolute authorities to constitutional monarchies. What sets all monarchies apart from Trump's set-up is the former have staff who understand the states of affairs, and Trump doesn't. And that's possibly why you fear the worst is yet to come,

Just remember, almost everything is correctable

Except possibly the accrued damaged Re climate change.
