So I'm wondering, who exactly are we supporting in this fight? It isn't a simple question. Pretty much all of them want to kill all of the rest of them. In this case, Kurds, who the US has been supporting for decades (technically, since the Gulf War, where we pulled support from them after encouraging revolt) and whom Turkey has been fighting for that time. We can't even figure out who is using chemical weapons (some would say if at all). Blowing up some target isn't infrequently actually blowing up an allied target mislabeled.

So what outcomes do you want to see? And this is in NA specifically - not looking for a general debate on the conflict itself (which has been done elsewhere) - what is the US's best plan?
