Trump, who eschews all forms of exercise and whose FDA recently blocked implementation of a law which requires restaurants in a chain with 20 or more locations to prominently display calorie counts for standard menu items, embarrassed America on the world stage yet again.
While the G7 leaders of Italy, Japan, Canada, France, Germany and the UK walked together down the streets of Taormina, Trump led from behind in a golf cart.
According to an updated survey from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development:
the obesity rate for American adults (aged 15 and over) came in at a whopping 38.2%. This places America in first place in the world's fattest people contest just ahead of Mexico @ 32.4%.
A major new analysis from Gallup, based on 87,000 interviews the polling company conducted over the past year, showed that Americans who were similar in terms of income, age, education and other factors and who lived in places where people were less healthy, had more favorable views of Trump. In these communities, whites are dying faster, there is more obesity, and people report more health problems. The places where Trump is popular are places where people have been unhealthy for a long time.
