I am guilty as charged. I have dared to suggest that the media is a pro-profit enterprise instead of being part of a vast conspiracy run by (((people that run the media, banks, and are also inexplicably socialists))) that desire nothing more than make conservatives feel bad for no apparent reason.

No, the long-term effect of immigration is the same as that of increasing population or increasing workforce participation: reduction of wages and increase in land rents. These effects are not negligible, just gradual. But the Black Death of the 14th century showed the relationship very powerfully, because it was so sudden: when the plague deleted 1/4-1/3 of the population of Western Europe in just three years, leaving everything else essentially unchanged, land rents crashed and wages soared. The opposite effect can be expected with immigration.
