I'm personally not convinced Trump hadn't practiced first, because it was reported that he personally requested the test.

Could a demented person or an alzheimer's sufferer score 30/30 even if he did practice first? A demented person wouldn't understand what they were practicing for... just one problem with what you wrote here. There are others.

The simple answer is, potentially yes. (Though especially if they practiced.)

The test is designed to indicate potential signs of dementia. The test isn't conclusive. It is a pretty long stretch to attempt to suggest that such a brief test would be sufficient for properly diagnosing dementia.

But, none of this even relates to my original point. My principal purpose is to strive for accuracy, by properly identifying the test as it was.

The only further initial implications I drew would relate to the futility of attempting to hold up this test as an intelligence test, or even a 'cognitive' test, both of which it is not. This makes the president's suggestion that it was a cognitive test, dishonest.

As an additional caveat. One might read additional 'eye-brow raising' observations into the very act of the president then bragging about such a test, in the manner in which he did.

Than prove it, or this is a false statement.

Ok, if you want.

First of all, things like dementia don't get "disproved" they get detected and proven. No one has to go around disproving that they have something wrong with them mentally, they get tested to try and detect if there's something wrong with them. This is an important distinction because it's very hard to "prove a negative". For example, if I asked you to prove that you're not a troll, how would you do that? You basically can't. That is just how things work, you have a presumption (such as the presumption that someone does not have dementia) you don't try to make people prove a negative.

Second, I'm curious just how you came across your expertise on dementia tests. Why should anyone take Crantag seriously on this? I too am not a cognitive specialist of any kind but I can operate under the presumption that if the White House doctor appointed by Obama gives Trump a 30/30 on a cognitive test, he either thinks that Trump's cognitive abilities are fine, or he believes his own test is garbage and would never say it, or he is lying for Trump (and by extension since he was appointed by Obama, we would therefore have to accept the possibility that he was lying about Obama's health as well).

Third, your idea that Trump was allowed to practice for the cognitive test before he took it is based entirely upon speculation and basically impinges the credibility of Obama's appointed doctor (see my second argument).

Fourth, Trump probably wouldn't have bragged about a simple cognitive test if certain people hadn't been arguing that he would likely fail a test of his mental abilities. So he goes and takes such a test and apparently scores 100% on it and then he brags. If people hadn't been going on about it, he probably wouldn't have taken the test in the first place. So you are basically treating a situation people like you created as supporting evidence. That's garbage.

Ummmmmmmmm, let me see.

I know how to google.

That's how I know what I know about the test.

That was really hard.

P.s., you are merely arguing my point, the 'can't prove a negative thing' is exactly what I was getting at all along, essentially.

Hong Wu is just desperate for attention because, even under Trump's thriving stock market, he had to run off to China to teach English since he couldn't use his law degree (which is apparently because of liberal bias or something).

Because of this his only exposure to English is this forum and 4chan conspiracy theories so he doesn't have the best the best grip on facts or reality.

In answer to the thread title: Yes, and also retarded.

I'm currently in the process of getting visa approval to go teach English in China, and I lived in Japan for 7 years. Teaching English in China is a good move to consider. There is a lot of government funds being spent on English education in China, and a lot of profitable opportunities. I certainly recommend it over Japan, unless someone has some special personal reason for wanting to go to Japan, or they just can't stand not living in a fully developed city.

I don't know him personally, though in general there are pretty much all sorts in the field, and also plenty of people of Westerners that wild out in Asia, etc.

But in China, native English teachers fill an insatiable demand. In actual point of fact, mostly all it strictly requires is being able to naturally converse in English. Of course, understanding the technical particulars and nuances of the English language goes a long way, and understanding how languages are learned, and familiarity with instructional methods, are all helpful.

It ain't no thing. I'm working on a 2nd (more like 3rd) bachelors degree in math, and I figure teaching is a good job for a student.

Hey, @Crantag. Vietnam is also a very good option. I spoke to an American teaching English there, and they pay very well($3-4k/mo), in comparison to places Thailand.

Yes, Trump's insane.

GOOGLE: LEFT WING ADVOCATE

This sickening attempt to sell left wing websites and attack conservative ones is brought you from those nice left-wing folks who run google.

Google, the most powerful search engine in the world, is now displaying fact checks for conservative publications in its results.
No prominent liberal site receives the same treatment.

And not only is Google’s fact-checking highly partisan — perhaps reflecting the sentiments of its leaders — it is also blatantly wrong, asserting sites made “claims” they demonstrably never made.

When searching for a media outlet that leans right, like The Daily Caller (TheDC), Google gives users details on the sidebar, including what topics the site typically writes about, as well as a section titled “Reviewed Claims.”

Yeah, I'd considered Vietnam for a bit. In fact, it was formerly where my old girl was from.

Most recently, I couldn't really get an easy sense of the scene in Vietnam, but I know well that China has been booming.

I've also been to China twice, and I can speak some Chinese, so there you go. It's pretty easy for me to pick up Chinese because I already know most of the characters, so I just have to learn the Chinese pronunciation and the common word conjunctions. Basically I just pick it up as I go along.

I think that based on the way most people would typically mean it when they call someone insane, Donald Trump is insane.

Opinion bias had absolutely nothing to do with the subject of my google searches, Mr.

The subject was how I know about the test which Trump took, e.g., that test which is used to potentially identify signs of dementia.

As many times as you all seek to distract from this, I will return to this original focus.

The particulars of the test in question are a matter of factual consideration, and so you're completely irrelevant post might as well be aimed at criticizing my citation of a weather report.

My favorite part about that test was how Trump talked about it as if he'd scored 180 on an IQ test because he could identify a giraffe and draw a clock.

That entire press briefing with his doctor was lol as fuck. Wow, Trump is exactly 1 pound under being obese despite giving Taft a waddle for his money. Lol Trump is fat and dumb and he only eats McDonald's because he's afraid of being poisoned.

However, Trump did not study for the test.

Indeed, and the fact that Trump passed the test demonstrates that he is not senile nor suffering from any form of dementia. It tells us nothing about his sanity, however. For what it's worth, I don't think he's insane in any clinical sense. He just seems to be a flaming narcissist, that's all. Lol.

Flaming narcissists are a bit crazy in my opinion. They actually have videos of psychologists giving advice to people on how to cope with extreme narcissists. Stuff like: You must be very direct. When you are speaking to a narcissist, regular socializing and body language cues that suffice with other personality types won't work with the narcissistic personalities. You must get at eye level with them and state your case plainly and to the point, you must redirect any rebuttal that they automatically go to....that starts with "I" and say, "I have to be able to get paid today. Otherwise a law suit with your name on it will arrive at x date and this is why...." Don't interrupt....and keep eye contact, etc etc. Lol.

It is crazy. I had a few in my case loads Potemkin....they were the people I dreaded dealing with the most. Because they absolutely can't place themselves in other people's positions to save their lives. They can't. Have zero empathy and can't fathom any other set of circumstances that might not be about them. Lol.

The quiz to find out. Donald is an extreme narcissist:

Lends more credence IMO to my theory that President Trump is a Objectivist, a follower of Ayn Rand. In this philosophy, selfishness is a 'virtue', and Altruism is a mental illness. Everything I see in him makes me all the more certain in this theory. In my Socialist reading of late-stage Capitalism, it's recurring crises call forth an ideology of the ruling class to justify the socio-economic system, and in this Objectivism is ideal. Not only that, but it is only reasonable to expect that large numbers of businessmen over time have been infused with this ideology whether they realize it or not, since Ayn Rand was first published in the post-WWII period.

Yes, selfishness is a virtue for the Ayn Rand people. But if everyone were a selfish person the entire society would be totally dysfunctional. People often think that what keeps a society going are the 'go getters, the aggressive, the I-am-going-to-get-mine, and the totally selfish and driven careerists, etc." It is not. Society relies on the people who share, the ones who are considerate, respecful of others needs, who nurture and who protect and work unselfishly to provide for their families and share their wealth, their labor and their service for groups. Whether it is for their family, their co-workers, their clients, or any other social and service oriented thing.....they are the vital heart of progress. Selfish people who are incapable of doing anything without self centered thoughts only? Are pretty much social burdens. No one says it if they are around very wealthy an powerful selfish types.....but most of them who know them well and have to tip toe around their narcissism....when they finally die? BIG SIGH OF RELIEF. The asshole finally died. Like the Witch dying in the Wizard of Oz.

Most ruthless despots and dictators of some sort are narcissists in the classical sense.
