He was a bit of a pinko, but his lesbian wife was certainly sympathetic to international. She was essentially the president in the last year of his presidency.

There is an enormous difference, namely politics and economics, between a social democrat like FDR, who was a capitalist that advocated for progressive, liberal policies like welfare (Otto von Bismarck created the modern welfare state), which has nothing to do with socialism, and a socialist.

Ah. We don't care about these pointless distinctions.

Did he try to take over the means of production? Nope.

No. He just confiscated all the privately owned gold in the country, forcing everyone onto fiat currency.

Did he build a permanent welfare state? Nope.

Yeah, because Social Security is going to expire any time now. Right?

His banking regulations and supports were specifically designed to ameliorate the endless boom-and-bust cycle inherent in uncontrolled capitalism.

I just laid out an accurate description of your posting. I was not trying to "get" you. You could easily solve this problem by either 1) reading news articles before you post them or 2) stop presenting bad faith arguments with news articles that, with near surgical precision, exactly counter the point you're trying to make.

Like, this isn't a difficult problem to solve. It's not even a middle school english class problem: "read an article and write an essay about it."

Sarcasm masquerading as litotes isn't that far off. I fear Drlee, for all his blinding brilliance, doesn't quite seem to get my sardonic sense of humor either. Whereas for you, I suppose you just haven't taken enough LSD to "get it." I'm sure you would be enlightened if you did.

While I've engaged in a bit of schadenfreude, it is somehow completely over the heads of everyone who hates Trump that Hillary Clinton just reprised the 2016 shtick that cost her the election; that is, not just tripping over her words as she did on Sept 9, 2016 and calling people "deplorable," but then falling down as well on 9/11/2016 (which is its own double entendre).

I mean, she did exactly the same thing. She slammed white women and white men. Again! And then fell down some stairs, and later fell out of the bathtub and broke her wrist. This woman knows how to do an encore. If it were self-parody, this would be genius. Yet, she seems to be authentically oblivious.

Once again, she didn't apologize just as she didn't in 2016--when she made a comment about "half" as a clarification. She's completely unironic about this too, as if she (and many of you here) has absolutely no fucking idea in the world why Trump beat her in a race she should have won easily. It couldn't be because the Democratic party wholesale slams white men constantly, could it? It couldn't be because Hillary Clinton is criticizing the father, husband or son of so many white women who take offense to that, could it? She then goes on to insult white women's intelligence as well.

It's as if the Democratic party thinks white women should be like black women who have no problem with the Democratic party marginalizing the men in their lives. Imagine if black women reacted the same way. The Democrats would be finished.

Instant karma for going to India and blaming white men and racist women for her election loss. I hope she runs again.

Literally (and I do mean literally), you are the only one who gets it. I find it amazing that even after Donald Trump has won, they still do not see the error in completely slamming the electorate. I don't wish to see them win politically, but it is bafflingly effervescent to see how totally blind they are to their own role in their political defeat. It's like they are stuck in a mental finger trap. The harder they pull to get out of the trap, the tighter a hold it has on them. In that respect, Trump really is a genius and their unwillingness to recognize it precludes them from defeating him.
