Except I'm not a Republican. I used to be though. For the most part, I don't wish people ill will personally, especially when they are sick. Hillary Clinton and the shit storm she unleashed with her phony dossier and her compliant minions in the deep state is one fucked up individual. To see her basically falling apart mentally, socially and physically with a complete lack of dignity as she implodes like the Wicked Witch of the West from the Wizard of Oz has a strangely satisfying quality about it. Generally it is, and frankly over many years of debating I don't usually do that. I have just had enough of the neoconservatives of both parties. They don't seem to mind sending other people to their deaths for whatever feckless war they want to start. They have no sympathy whatsover for destroying the way of life of millions of blue collar Americans, and treat them with utter disdain. Also, I do think there is a gadfly quality about today's politicians. Like why in the hell is Jerry Brown the governor of California? You'll notice that I sort of, kind of defended Diane Feinstein as still lucid, even though she is going to be a crazy 90 something if she finished out another 6-year term. The California Democrats refused to endorse her candidacy. Nancy Pelosi is clearly facing dementia and won't step down either. When they do that, it may be sort of the low class thing to do, but they are fair game. Rush Limbaugh does that once in awhile too. Former Senator Alan Cranston of California way overstayed his welcome, and Limbaugh used to refer to him as "the cadaver." He used to refer to Larry King (who had a show called Larry King Live) as Larry King, Still Alive.

Roosevelt was the savior of capitalism at the moment it was most vulnerable. Did he try to take over the means of production? Nope. Did he build a permanent welfare state? Nope. He spent taxpayer money establishing temporary work programs and infrastructure projects with the very specific goal in mind of allowing capitalism to get its feet back under itself. His banking regulations and supports were specifically designed to ameliorate the endless boom-and-bust cycle inherent in uncontrolled capitalism. Even the mostly conservative Hoover Institution said this:
