It keeps happening because people like you keep supporting ignorant shit like NATO expansion and pretending insignificant powers like Russia are a major threat to Europe and the world.

Well, let's see ……. Looks like the old putting words into someone's mouth canard. Kinda like me saying that you think that America is a bastion for peace in the world.

I was against NATO expansion. I would consider Luxemburg an insignificant power. Russia ….. not so much. Hitler could not have been beaten without Russia and, IMO, anyone who considers Russia to be a peace loving non aggressive nation is, simply, a fool. Re read my comment above on Putin playing the "Russia assuming her place as a major world power card".A major threat to the world? Try America.

Yeah, I'm an idiot. I'm not politically retarded like most people and I've got good media savvy, I'm not a credulous bumpkin or an establishment shill like most of the assholes you come across, but in some areas I'm pretty dense. Just not this area.

I have always found it interesting to see how my thinking/personality and the thinking/personalities of others evolve as time passes. I find socialistic tendencies in my heart and capitalistic tendencies in my head. I guess it's altruistic to want to help others but a question of survival in a predatory capitalistic society. I'm not going to be fucking homeless just because the $ deck is stacked in favor of the few.

I'm not starving in solidarity with the masses, the masses did this shit to themselves. It's just an ugly system and it needs to be changed. Not only that but capitalist culture elevates the most vulgar and rapacious mentalities to power and authority, if we continue to let them run amok they're going to destroy society, the planet, and the entire human project.

As long as the fat boys and girls have a tit to suck, nothing will change. Only a financial disaster or a revolution will change things and, then, only for awhile because …… history repeats itself.

History repeats itself because noospheric conditions permit human thought to repeat itself. Action and thought revolve inside a perceptional feedback loop. Action informs thought, and thought informs action. This is a simultaneous process. Rationality and reason follow a sequential biochemical mechanism that is in a state of suspended reaction. Thought is a response system dedicated to the interplay of the mind/matter interface. Likewise, action is a response system dedicated to the interplay of the mind/matter interface.

To stop history from repeating itself, we'd have to collectively redesign or intelligently engineer our collective conscious which would ultimately redirect or 'rewire' human action. Hence why technology as a new ground for human action 'rewires' human thought. This is based on the structure of dialectical psychology, the ground programs the figure and the figure programs the ground. This is not a sequential program or order (like a 1..0...1...0), human consciousness processes the ground and figure simultaneously (1010) but is unable to express such a complex form of awareness, because individuated human thought is an interference pattern (the waves or information come in through the sensorium, but the neurochemical channels reshape the information or message. An individual's interference pattern is a compilation of genetic and learned relations). What you interact with in reality has already happened, and the future you're projecting through this present moment (as a response to the past) is a permutation of what IS and what can be consciously expressed.

History repeats itself because humanity is projecting the past as its future. It's a universal form of relative awareness we're sharing RIGHT NOW.

For better or worse human history is coming to a close so that's not going to be an issue for much longer. This time is important because what we do now is going to determine whether the ass end of the human journey is going to be an unimaginably sadistic techno gulag or an enlightened transition to something better as we pass the torch to whatever intelligences emerge over the next few centuries from this perpetual technological revolution we're now in.

It is seductive to think that man's more destructive traits (war, senseless greed and lots more) will fall by the wayside and be replaced/evolved by/into higher forms of behavior(truth, mutual beneficiality ….). But I fear that time is short and the bills will soon come due for our centuries of mis management of this beautiful planet earth and the amazing experience of life itself.

On a more micro level, I tell my friends of my age that "We had the good years …….. and we did not know it at the time." When I got out of college all I had to do was ask and I got a good paying job with full health insurance. Within 2 months they flew me, literally, around the world to visit various international branches. Student debt? $215. Today, you have all heard the student debt horror stories and the competition is so fierce that kids are suicidal. Fully paid health insurance?

I agree, we're probably going to come to a violent end. There's just too many people that still don't get it and that's not likely to change. Either way the human race is on the way out, it would just be a shame if it ended with us and all of it was for nothing.

Those years were good for some and not so good for others. We've made progress in some areas and lost a lot of ground in others but all things considered I think now is the best time to be engaging in the world. There are just so many avenues of access to impact on the world, it's frustrating at times but it does seem like we're on the cusp of a major social and political evolution.

People are spending like nobody cares, and that’s exactly how it was in 2008.

Societies accrue their greatest wealth at the moment they face death.

America is seriously declining and, predictably, is in serious denial …. hence stupid clichés like "make America great again" …… at least this nonsense recognizes that America is no longer "great" …. whatever that is supposed to mean.
