Shame on you Stephanie …….. this is astoundingly pathetic but …… apparently a job requirement for our genius/great master.

This is what the American revolution fought for? :?:

What happened to Sarah Huckabee Sanders? Was she a victim of the stress of lying through her teeth everyday? Lol.

I think she now works for Donald's propaganda operation, Fox Fake News.

Drlee wrote:Yes. I know what you mean. "Local" history often is more personal and certainly more insightful than when a historian 'studying the sources' parachutes in to a subject from afar and sternly proposes 'the definitive work'.

I have been thinking about my local indigenous population lately and wondering about how our current period will look to historians. (I am less than 2 miles from a very large reservation and my state has a great many of them.) To most people it looks like nothing is going on there and, at best, the people are just holding on to the more theatrical of their cultural features. Will this be the period that historians in 2100 (there will be people alive then who are adults today) will just dismiss as "....from 1900 to 2050 these cultures largely disappeared as their land was....." But there is stuff going on today that is meaningful to them. Continuing your thought it seems that if there is to be any history of this time, we had better be writing it now and locally.

I wonder about what will become of the Trump legacy. It seems to me that there is a very real possibility that all of this strurm and drang will disappear and that he will just be another one term president, akin to Jimmy Carter or Rutherford B. Hayes in historical importance. (No offense to Carter intended.)

I hope President Trump, as a two term president, will be seen as the Trump of God that saved America from socialism and made America great again.
Praise the Lord.

Poor Donald,

Donald wasn't taking any chances like he did at the World Series when he staged a rigged event at Benedict College where there are over 2,000 students, yet only a handful were allowed to attend his event. The others were on lockdown, told to stay inside. Their lunches were delivered to them in their dorms.

The last time Bush ran, his audiences were somewhat unhappy. So he started carrying his audience with him. Seriously. It might be Des Moine today and Montana manana; but it was always the same people.

Local Republican pols were complaining they couldn't get in, that's how crazy it was.

Republicans stopped doing politics a long time ago, they live in a Potemkin Village built with propaganda.

"I had all of a sudden become important through the eyes of Donald Trump. So he was very anxious to meet me and invited me to Mar-a-Lago [his luxury estate in Florida] and was all over me like ugly on an ape" She turned down the offer, she says, “because I thought he was kind of repulsive”.

Carly Simon's thoughts on Obese Donald.

More #metoo from a washed up woman. I notice the women making these complaints are always well passed their prime and nobody thinks they are hot anymore. Obviously, Donald Trump isn't going to be all over Carly Simon.

I will give you this: Donald Trump isn't couth enough to simply retort, "She's so vein... " He'd point out the obvious, like I just did above: that she's obviously washed up, past her sell-by date, etc. Everybody who knows Trump knows he's not going to think of her as hot.

As usual you miss the point and wander off into self serving clap trap. I think Carly's point was that she wasn't interested in having this obese tub of shit anywhere near her. Obviously you and the other Trump zombies think that Fatso is perfect and still a fully functioning sex machine. Unfortunately for you and Fatso most people know a tub of lard when they see one and …………. we are legions  .

People have opinions about Trump. The truth is, due to his Nazi propaganda - Nazis EVERYWHERE in the world feel empowered. They popped up everywhere in Europe and even Asia. Now, the hold seats. They vote - AGAINST the EU or such constructs.

So if you look at it globally in a dog eat dog world: Trump destabilised the entire EU. Great for making America great again, I'd say!

Much of our prosperity was built on symbiotic economic relationships with our allies.

Kinda the opposite of dog eat dog...

History will be OK for Trump because he actually accomplished things. That list will not included he was mean to Rosie O'Donnell and he hurt snowflakes feelings with his Tweets.

Really?

What did Obese Donald really do? He sure didn't keep his promises.

Wasn't the Syrian War supposed to be won in 6 weeks? Trump has accomplished next to nothing, despite having the bulk of the power for 2 years.

For one thing he did not draw a red line and then back away from it. So history will say Trump got Bagdadhi and history will say Obama created a situation which cost 1000's of people theirs lives.

You're delusional. Obama got Osama Bin Laden. Trump destroyed the alliance with the Kurds(an extremely trusted ally), backed down from a dictator, and had Americans slink cowardly, out of Syria. Even his staunchest "Yes Men", Lindsay Graham and Mitch Mcconnell, think it's a mistake. :knife:

Republicans deliver rare rebuke of Trump, slamming his Syria withdrawal decision
“A precipitous withdrawal of U.S. forces from Syria would only benefit Russia, Iran, and the Assad regime,” McConnell said in a statement Monday. “And it would increase the risk that ISIS and other terrorist groups regroup.”

Trump also kept almost none of his promises, including jobs for his coal miners.

Apparently I am lucid enough to notice you have no rebut for the thousands of dead people in Syria because of Obama's decisions and policies left for Trump to clean up.

Trump kept none of his promises. Ok run along and go play then.

We were not talking about Obama, so your claims of being lucid are pretty pathetic. "Whataboutisms". What Fat Donald is doing, now, is the topic of discussion.
