Istanbuller wrote:No, there is no market failure. There isn't any example on that. But markets often fail because of regulations and socialist approaches. Venezuela's oil market, for instance.

Yes, there is market failure in health care.

I even explained why.

@maz

You said they were equally crucial. I explained why one is more crucial than the other.

I heard that Blacks are early voting in RECORD numbers. That should make the situation even worse for Trump than it already is. :excited:

They're voting for Trump, because Trump has done more for black people than any president since maybe Abraham Lincoln.

Good old Biden and his gaffe machine. Vote for me or you ain't Black. President Trump is winning against the career criminals in D.C. and will end a lot of Political careers for corrupt Leftist Democrats during his second term as President of the United States of America. It is amazing how much of the Black vote, the White vote, the Hispanic vote, and the votes all of the patriotic taxpaying legal American citizens are against China's Joe Biden. America is angry with all of the career criminals that have tried to socialize America. Corn Pops says, "Uncle Joe doesn't sniff Kamala's hair or smile as much anymore"

You're going to look very foolish if it all goes tits up for the orange shit gibbon.

Me, I get a good laugh whatever the result.

If Biden wins, I get to laugh at you.

If Trump wins, I get to laugh at Trump.

Istanbuller wrote:There is no such thing as a market failure. Prices are being adjusted according to demand and supply curves.

In a free market healthcare, a supplier should set prices with consumer feedbacks. If not doing it, then it will be eliminated from market because of competition.

You have a mixed healthcare system in the US. That causes unrealistic pricing. Private entities cannot compete.

Yes there is. A monopoly forming that dictates prices to the consumer is a market failure and it is not an impossibility in a capitalist market. Also, part of the current situation with antibiotics where companies don't make them due to them not being as profitable as some other type of drugs. Free markets don't always work the way a libertarian economist envisions them to work on a piece of paper. Market fundamentalism is inconstant with reality despite what places like the Mises institute claim. We have the most capitalistic healthcare system than most and yet we get worse outcomes.

I am waiting for a sex tape from someone out there too. Hunter Biden. Joe Biden. Donald Trump. You know Rancid I think Trump probably got together with some Russian hookers and Putin recorded it and that is why he is a man who respects Putin greatly.

The man who has his cojones filmed and recorded.

Lol. These politicians have no moral authority at all but the Christian fundamentalist crowd believes God uses these sinners for the Good of Humanity. What is to say that God doesn't use the Atheist Commies they hate as tools of God to bring forth repentance and the Rapture?

Come on Rancid, open that door to those Christian Texan people hoping to save you from non BELIEF.

It's rather Trump winning reelection as it must be 50 Cent's fans getting extremely political and voting for Trump in droves.

50 Cent retracts Donald Trump endorsement ;)

JohnRawls wrote:gives his daddy +5% more female vote :excited:

That could actually be true. If females get aware of Hunter Biden, they'll find him charming, I guess.

Rasmussen's White House Watch has shifted to daily releases. And in today's release, Trump takes the lead for only the second time since Rasmussen started polling in July, and the first since mid-September:

  • Donald Trump 48%
  • Joe Biden 47%
  • Some other candidate 3%
  • Not sure 2%

Cool storio internet wario. Just looking at the basics right now like high voter turn out, early voting, high black participation not to mention coronavirus and other things.

All those are very negative factors for Republicans durring all elections. And now all of the sudden you are telling me that Trump is creating a comeback.

I mean, it might be possible but the possibility percentage wise of this is really miniscule. Every fiber of my body is screaming that Trump will loose in a landslide by the looks of it but I don't have live data to prove this.

@JohnRawls, no, the best performing pollster in 2016 (per RCP) is the one saying Trump currently leads. We'll see if that holds--per RCP's rolling average, at the time of the 2016 election Clinton was beginning to pull away. Oh, and in Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin, the plurality of early voters continue to be Republicans. Assuming they follow the Rasmussen numbers for how much of each is voting for whom (84% of Republicans, 20% of Democrats, and 42% of Independents for Trump), at this point that would give Trump 50.6% in Michigan, 51.7% in Wisconsin, and 53.6% in Ohio.

B0ycey wrote:This matters about as much as Trump Jr setting up meetings with Russia to meet his father.

First, Trump Jr. never set up a meeting with Russia to meet his father. Second, if he did, that is not illegal. Using the power to withhold US funds to Ukraine to help your son's business interests that are being investigate for corruption is a legal issue--the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

Third, if you are referring the Trump Jr. meeting with Natalya Veselnitskaya, that was also a Hillary Clinton operation--as Veselnitskaya was denied a visa, but got an immigration parole from the DoJ, and met with Fusion GPS both before and after meeting with Trump Jr.--a meeting solicited by a Hillary Clinton donor, not a meeting sought by Trump Jr. to "meet with Russia."

This is where the gaslighting isn't working anymore.

B0ycey wrote:And let's not forget Trumps links with Stone and Bannon either shall we.

Nobody has forgotten it. Stone lied about having connections and got convicted for it. Bannon hasn't committed any crime.

B0ycey wrote:Hunters actions don't matter because Trump is his own scandal that people are now immune to scandal in this election as it is currently the norm rather than the exception to make any difference in people's opinions now.

It matters because he's gotten money from Russia, Ukraine and China. It's the China part that resonates with Midwest voters, because of all the outsourcing to China.

B0ycey wrote:Perhaps you wish it matters because of your political bias.

Generally, people do not vote my political views at all. I'm offering you an explanation as to why you see such huge Trump rallies, and nobody shows up to Biden rallies. I've never been to a Trump rally.

B0ycey wrote:And that isn't even putting in the factor that Hunter isn't running for president in any case.

Neither was Bill Clinton in 2016. However, you cannot be getting $500k for speeches in Moscow, $15M+ from Russian oligarchs to your "charitable" foundation, and then try to frighten people about Russia when your wife is running for President. The story doesn't work.

late wrote:Second, polls, the best ones, have slowly gotten better over the years.

No. They have gotten demonstrably worse. When they called on landlines decades ago, they did a much better job of reaching voters. Today, reaching a voter is more of a crapshoot.

annatar1914 wrote:@blackjack21 , Everything you said is true. But they aren't listening, one can tell by their comments elsewhere. Everything you have said could be said by anyone with any ideology whatsoever, even by a politically liberal commentator, but it isn't registering yet with them.

I am a Socialist, and it doesn't register even from hearing it from me that the liberals in the United States have descended into extreme collective psychosis, a break from political reality, total delusion.

There are more Trump supporters at Biden rallies taunting him than his own supporters. They've put a lid on campaigning again. I find this absolutely amazing. It is a collective psychosis.

Patrickov wrote:I think if Trump "destroys democracy and imposes some kind of dictatorship in America" then the liberals have every reason to "go after" Trump voters.

So does that work the other way around? If Gretchen Whitmer is imposing a kind of dictatorship in Michigan, do conservatives have every reason to go "go after" Whitmer and/or her voters?

You know Richard Spencer is voting for Biden, right?

Richard Spencer Reiterates Support for Biden, Disavows 'Useless' and 'Traitorous' GOP

SpecialOlypian wrote:I don't know why you believe a free market approach to health insurance would solve this, because that's pretty much what we have in America now.

You can't even sell insurance across state lines. Medicine is a heavily regulated business.

So much so, that I wonder if they are being used by other actors out there, that somebody at the top knows what's going on and is letting this debacle happen. I can think of a few reasons why, but for now I'm going to be silent about that.

It's like watching a train wreck that you can't stop, because it's got so much momentum behind it that putting on the brakes now would only make things worse maybe.

It's gotten to the point that I even feel sorry for Biden and for Harris. I don't know what's going to happen for sure, other than a likelihood of a Trump win, but I am thinking that a win for Biden/Harris would be a disaster for themselves, worse than a loss.

@blackjack21, nice try covering Trump Jr's ass, but setting up meetings for Russian interference in the US election is illegal and currently any accusations on Hunter is heresay also. Also Bannon isn't exactly been given the "Green Light" for his "Build the wall" Ponzi, so let's see what happens when that goes to court.

But I digest, as I said to Doug64 and was pretty much my message to you, nobody will give a shit about Hunters actions and even if they did he isn't running for election in any case. Unless you think this scandal is for some unknown reason going to cloud over absolutely all of Trump's scandals over the past 4 years and make the "Left" switch sides, we can expect to see a Biden landslide next Tuesday.

Can I count on seeing your salty tears on PoFo this Tuesday when you can explain why it was unfathomable that this scandal did nothing for Trump?
