it is a bit soon to draw a conclusive take on the situation but it is increasingly looking as if we are witnessing a stock market crash. While the stock market is hardly the "economy" and more the playground of corporations and billionaires it certainly is indicative of a trend in thinking which, in the current case, ain't looking very optimistic. Trump's primary selling point has been the bullshitting/conning of his cult and others about his debt financed wonderful economy which, in reality, was sitting on very thin ice. The federal government and non billionaire citizens are currently operating at record high debt levels. Long story short, the economy seems to have turned south at a very high speed. This removes Donald's one feel good selling point. He will have to turn to a campaign of exclusive fear mongering …… brown people, socialism and who knows what …. maybe toenail fungus as a liberal plot promoted by Rush & Co.

Short story even shorter …… the economic collapse could be the beginning of the Fat Man's end. He and his cult will go all out to blame the situation on the usual anti Trump conspiracies, Pelosi, "liberals", Hillary, toenail fungus, anything other than themselves and impeached president Trump's incompetence.

I thought about this long ago Jimjam. I thought? I need to sell my real estate and get out while I can and stop depending on this economy to see me through til my retirement. I can vote from Mexico and already filled out the paperwork to get the one and a half million USA citizens living in Mexico to vote. Mass campaigns in both languages. My 'training'starts next week. I am going to get these old retired Americans who don't worry about Mexican drug dealer cartels and are overwhelmingly on the left of the spectrum to go to the polls in their consulate and mail in a lot of ballots. Enough to do some damage to the stateside conservative swing state types. Apathy is what keeps these people in place.
