Klobuchar cancels Minnesota rally as protesters take stage

ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar canceled a rally in her home state Sunday after protesters took over the stage shouting for her to drop out of the presidential race over the case of a black teen sentenced to life in prison while Klobuchar was the county's top prosecutor.

Klobuchar was scheduled to speak at St. Louis Park High School in suburban Minneapolis ahead of Tuesday's Minnesota primary, which she is fighting to win and notch her first victory. But dozens of protesters entered the gymnasium, raised signs and chanted “black lives matter” and “Myon,” a reference to Myon Burrell, who was convicted of the murder of 11-year-old Tyesha Edwards.

 I support this!

guys buttigig has pulled out just 48 hours before super Tuesday. he still left his mark all over biden. i hope biden can get cleaned up before super tuesday, just kidding, I hope Bernie wins yeahhhhhh!!

lets be honest though we are mostly releived that buttigieg pulled out, if he had stayed in it would have just been even worse. i know some peple like having a candidate like buttigieg inside their race but personally i prefer a more traditional primary with fewer people in it at the same time.

also apparently buttigieg was gay, weird

It seems Biden's doing the exact same thing that Hilary did in 2016,sending out the "Black Lies Matter" goons to take down other candidates. I don't doubt that Klubuchar, Buttigieg and Steyer were all warned what would happen if they didn't drop out. I wonder whether Bloomberg will be as easy to intimidate.

Sanders must win Texas and California. Biden is polling well in the smaller states.

Bernie is currently 4% ahead in Texas with 25% counted. Needs to hold his lead or increase it. He needs that win and hopefully California too.

Maine has gone down to the wire. But Biden is currently a few votes ahead.

Biden should be considered a marginal front runner now, and a major frontrunner if he wins either Texas or California.

BERNIE GOT BURNED. After Bloomberg resigns that is additional 10% to Biden. So if Warren doesn't quit, i don't see a way for Bernie to win. The only thing that can hurt Biden is low results in Cali but if Bloomberg quits and gives all his votes to Biden then what? Biden will be heavy ahead. I am not sure how it works regarding this but i presume the drop outs give their votes to somebody else?

Sanders needs to go into the convention with at least 40% of the delegates and a 5 point lead over Biden to avoid a brokered convention. If he doesn't win in the first round Biden will be the nominee. Sanders can't just win, he has to win by a sizable margin.

Warren should quit and endorse Bernie, Gabbard should do the same now.

Bernie is ahead in Texas with nearly 50% counted. But it's close. Like 1.5% margin.

California is definitely already win for Sanders(already 10% ahead), even with just 10% counted it's funny because Bloomberg split the vote, he's beating Biden in that state too. So Sanders has won it by virtue of the Neo-lib Democrats being split between Bloomberg and Biden.

It"s not a given that Bloomberg will endorse Biden, after all Bloomberg did run a troll of a campaign looking to tap into "democratic MAGA".

Yeah but how does it work? If he endorses Biden does his vote go to Biden? If yes, then Bernie is toast. (The delegates that he has won)

It's beginning to look like the superdelegates
will destroy the party in July.
They will not unite the party
And Trump will win another term.

It's unlikely Bernie will run again
So the moment has been lost to history
Going down as yet another proletarian defeat
A sort of Paris Commune
Of the flaky American head-space.

The year that Old Man Socialism
Angrily shook his fist

Gabbard will most likely endorse Sanders but I doubt Warren will. At her core, Warren is an establishment stooge. She sandbagged Bernie in '16 and she's gonna sandbag this time around too.

Bloomberg may hold his toungue till just before the convention, kingmaker style. And it's not like vote splitting candidates running just to split the vote to stop another candidate hasn't happened before. Bernie has clearly won California immediately with the first results. If Bloomberg hadn't run, Biden would probably have won. Bernie is marginally winning Texas because of Bloomberg vote-splitting too.

So far

Biden has won Alabama, Arkansas, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Virginia (559 delegates)

Sanders has won California, Colorado, Utah, Vermont, will probably win Texas (754 delegates).

How do you figure that? Right now Biden is up 20,000 votes.

Sanders is projected to win California (29%) and he is likely to narrowly beat Biden (17%) at the end of the day. Sanders is currently tied with Biden in delegates without California.

Bernie could win Maine(less than a thousand votes in it), but Biden has surged ahead in Texas. Both states are probably going down to the wire.

It looks like a narrow win for Biden. Given that Klobuchar and Buttigieg dropped out and support Biden now he will get their delegates as well. The same will happen with Bloomberg after super Tuesday. All this means super delegates can justify their support of Biden easily.

For me this is a positive day for US, socialists are not as strong as I feared.
