I mean, OMG !

As if the riddiculous theory that Hussein had WMDs wasnt bad enough. The UN was checking for that and had found NOTHING. Hussein himself kept saying "come and check yourself if you dont believe me". Yeah, sure, he would keep saying that if he had them. Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure.

I mean that the whole WMD story was bad enough, but why the frak would anyone join up with Al Qaeda, and more importantly for what purpose ?

Its like one of these awful but very common scenes from Hollywood movies when a bad guy, usually at the start of the movie, does something real cruel for no good purpose whatsoever, just so the viewer knows - thats the bad guy.

But thats not like reallife works.

I once read Mafioso are actually super nice to everyone, unless they want something from you. Because after all you could be another Mafioso - and if they arent nice to you, you might get in the mood to take their kneecaps for a trophy.

And if thats an invention and not true, its at least a great invention. And would make for a much cooler movie plot. Let the villain be super nice to everybody while the good guy treats everyone awful, of course without actually hurting anyone.
