The president can recall an ambassador. But that's not how it started. So why did Trump use Russian money, and shady characters, to go after Yovanovitch??

One small part of Trump obstructing justice was his attempt to get charges against Firtash dropped (that's where the Russian money came from). Parnas said in a new interview that part of that deal was that our German ambassador, Bill Parnell, would alert the conspirators if he was about to be arrested.

You can add that to the list of dozens, if not hundreds, of questions about things Trump is hiding. Like his tax returns, like the way he is getting hundreds of millions of dollars from using the presidency the way he used his 'charity'.

I digress. Pompeo may now be the guy Dems would most like to get testimony from under oath. There is an amazing amount of crap, and he's directly involved in a lot of it.

That needs some explanation.

A president that knew what he was doing would have simply recalled the ambassador, prob have the Sec State do it, and in the speech praise the ambassador effusively, and say her anti-corruption skills were needed more in some country no one cared about.

Clearly, that's not what happened. If you listened to the recording Parnas made, it sounds like he's pushing Putin's agenda. That's the one where Trump said 'get rid of her'.

Yovanovitch wrote an entire book just about Putin, and she was effectively opposing him in Ukraine. Suddenly the Russian money and shady characters (like Russian born Parnas) makes sense.

Putin wanted Yovanovitch gone, Trump didn't know what he was doing, so they wound up doing goofy and ineffective things.

One of the Sec of State's jobs is protecting his president. He's not exactly good at that. And while he talks about defending his staff at State, the buzz from State is that he never does.

The takeaway from all this is that the presidency has become a criminal enterprise. And that they aren't exactly smart about even that much.
