While the left failed at the fake impeachment of Trump and continue to meltdown, more news this week illustrates the fact that we live under a two tier justice system in the USA. One set of special rules if you are a Democrat and harsh partisan rules if you are a Republican.

The lefties are crying like babies this week because Roger Stone might not get 9 years in prison for simply lying, calling for a renewed impeachment of both Trump and Bill Barr. YET..................Today we learned Andrew McCabe who was in charge of the fake Russian hoax/ coup attempt and lied about it to to congress, the FBI, and the Inspector general will not be prosecuted. Just more proof Democrats live under special rules, and we have a two tier justice system. Two sets of rules, one for Democrats and another for Republicans. The proof? The only people who are sitting in jail are Republicans charged with process crimes from a fake Russian hoax.

He may have turned state's evidence against Comey in exchange for non-prosecution.

As you have predicted correctly so far looks like none of these players are going to be prosecuted.

Supposedly maybe he will go down with those who lied to the FISA court but we shouldn't hold our breath.

@Rancid

In context to the current events and this topic and put in context with the large list of examples I gave, its a prefect description. I didn't say he did nothing wrong all be it that his lies were the construed from a fake investigation to begin with, from the genesis of forged and faked FISA warrants (fact) . No American was found to collude with the Russians just process crimes from perjury traps.

There is an old joke that a good prosecutor can get an indictment from a grand jury over a guy eating a ham sandwich.

It's not far from the truth.

Prosecutors tried twice with McCabe. They didn't get an indictment.

The whole thing was dropped when a federal judge said this looked like what a "banana republic" would do.

Frankly, the disregard of justice and decency is nauseating. It's the sort of vile abuse that you don't see in democracy.

No. It's a good prosecutor can indict a ham sandwich. An indictment against a non-person is known as an in rem proceeding.

What makes you think democracies are without corruption?

You have such absurd criteria for your histrionics. 20 million people illegally in the United States, illegally taking jobs from Americans, illegally not paying income taxes, Democrat governments creating sanctuary cities (not unlike before the Civil War when Democrats were trying to nullify federal law) to undermine federal law enforcement, and Trump trying to ensure that a political adviser is not mistreated by prosecutors when the constitution vests him with ALL executive authority in a country dedicated to the liberal dispensation of justice (meaning it ALWAYS favors the criminal defendant), and you think that somehow ends the "Rule of Law"? Clearly, you have no idea why your side is losing.

It's called history.

Trump is doing what wannabe dictators always do.

All he needs at this point is a little time.

"The historian Timothy Snyder has produced this short book as one response. History, and especially the history of the 20th century, has lessons for us all..

Snyder’s second lesson is to “defend institutions”, by which he means the courts, the constitution, the press, the trade unions, the parliament and so on.

Snyder’s fourth lesson is “take responsibility for the face of the world” – in other words, be sceptical about propaganda."

None of this is new. After Trump was elected, a number of historian predicted trouble. Marsha Gessen saw it up close and personal growing up, and wrote it about in Autocracy:Rules for Survival. A couple years ago she said: "Trump plans to use the judicial system to carry out his political vendettas, his pick for attorney general will be no less important."

All that is left of consequence is the press and the election. I can guarantee you that he is trying as hard as he can to rig the election right now. If he loses, he goes to jail, same for Barr.
