To him this is probably a chicken-and-egg matter.

At least from his perception, Trump's rise is illegitimate (Russian meddling and all that), and what Trump had done so far strengthened his perception that Trump has been abusing power, only the Republican Party machine prevented his removal. Pence's case is more or less similar to him. He seems to hold similar views to Pence, or most Republicans in power in this matter.

IMHO nothing short of total removal of Republican (and possibly Democratic establishment) influence will satisfy him make him feel things can go right again.

Although something is rather funny, since he seems to have socialist ideas (IIRC he supports Sanders) but he's accused by another person who regards himself as (also) socialist.

2) He re-shuffled some bureaucrats, big deal.

3) Sure you did. And none of them have a political agenda either, right?

4) On the contrary, not only am I a good reader, I can read between the lines quite well also.

1) That was weird. Back in the real world, the way you do this is through impeachment. That didn't work. The next logical step (in a democracy, have you ever heard of it?) is to oppose his re-election. Which I am doing.

2) It's not a big deal if hundreds of thousand dead that didn't need to die doesn't bother you. Which it clearly doesn't.

3) Thanks, that's why I said it clearly doesn't bother you. Love the hypocrisy, though, right after trying to make a big deal of my politics, you sleaze out trying to say medical scientists are solely politically motivated. That is stunningly amoral.

4) I have provided maybe a dozen links to articles by experts on the virus. Has there been something you have contributed that added to our sum of knowledge? Didn't think so.

So then what is the best case scenario for covid-19 fatalities in America?

So far, the number of covid-19 fatalities in the ENTIRE WORLD has only just barely reached the number of deaths of Americans caused by the H1N1 pandemic alone. And that's if the number of H1N1 deaths are accurate because they have said that the number of American deaths might have been as high as 16,000.

Your idea of democracy and my idea of democracy are two different things I suspect.

Again, projection and denial of responsibility.

Strawman. I didn't say solely politically motivated now did I? But if they are biased as you are obviously it's going to effect their judgement.

Hysterical shrieking contributing to mass panic and political instability isn't professional expertise on display nor is it a contribution to our sum of knowledge.

You are still denying their expertise with the claim that their politics dominates. IOW, a distinction without a difference...

That is still amoral.

No, it's amoral, even immoral, to politicize a pestilence. You know you are doing exactly that, with numerous other people, possibly even the President.

My ego isn't in this. If President Trump and his team have a good plan which helps mitigate this disaster, that's wonderful and it doesn't matter to me if he claims political points for it or not as long as it helps America and the world overall. Obviously you're so into your Trump Derangement Syndrome that this position of mine is clearly the wrong one to take in your opinion. There's no talking to or changing the mind of people who clearly are so swayed by their passions.

The problem here is not just politics. It's much, much worse than that.

Setting aside the incompetence question, it's clear to me that Trump has been playing politics with this for months, at great cost to the country.

The only possible counter to that is political pressure. Then there is the matter of the upcoming election...

The time for pretense is past. You are what you do, and you are trying, badly, to protect Trump. That places you in the Cult, regardless of the byzantine reasoning you use to justify being there.

Is it? Or have you just expanded the political to cover all of existence?

And I'm sure you said that in January, when he was taking action by banning travel to or from China, and no doubt you opposed those measures because he was the one that promulgated them.

The only possible counter to that is political pressure. Then there is the matter of the upcoming election...

Wrong. The only possible moral counter is to put aside politics in the interest of basic human decency.

That is some of the craziest talk I've heard in a while, and i've heard my share. You need to calm down and step back from the Interweb, play with a dog or go for a walk, or both. Enjoy God's creation and see people as people again.
