The US continues to escalate the situation on the Korean Peninsula. Washington regularly conducts military exercises in the region. Moreover, the deployment of THAAD in South Korea is almost finished.
According to the Deputy Chief of the Operational Joint Staff of the Central Military Commission of China the General-major Cai Jun, the actions of the US on the Korean Peninsula are inconflict with the efforts of the UN and the international community to resolve the conflict between North and South Korea by political means.
