The nefarious GRC system of elections in Singapore.

Many PAP policies are ill conceived because they were born out of deceit to begin with.

GRC system of elections is where the root source of corruption lies: gerrymandering, the corrupt doing away of political debate via omitting periodic by-elections vz constitutional manipulation, GRC propensity to deter independent political participation/ voice and direct/ indirect bankrupting of opposition politicians.

Now, so many PAP leaders and civil servants are IVORY TOWER rulers because they have managed to wrest power using the corrupt GRC system of elections, making themselves immune to question or audit.

From PAP's illegitimate and corrupt GRC election methods breeds all other downstream forms of corruption and socio-economic breakdowns due to the silencing of the opposition and thus the disappearance of any effective check and balance mechanism.

Singapore has become a VICTIM of PAP past success : today, allowing PAP unbridled political powers is akin to appointing a fox to guard the hen house.

Just as PAP developed Singapore into a modern metropolis, contemporary generation of PAP leaders are set to bring Singapore back down to her knees.

As far as status quo goes, the future is bleak.

'Without some assurance of a good chance of winning at least their first election, many able and successful young Singaporeans may not risk their careers to join politics,' Mr Goh Chok Tong, June 2006 ['GRCs make it easier to find top talent: SM'].
