I am of the school of Oswald Spengler, Carle Zimmerman, and J.D. Unwin when it comes to a conservative or right-wing “dialectic of history,” and in such a dialectic there is a belief that in the last stage of the west there will be popular backlash of native populations to legislative ineptitude and ineffectiveness in light of a mass financial crisis which likewise brings to the surface serious tensions between aging natives disillusioned with their cultural nihilism and the mass of foreign immigrants who hold vastly different worldviews.
The result of this point of crisis, in Spengler, is the displacement of representative government for a Caesarian dictatorship that seeks to restore traditional values and strengthen the native population as well as unilaterally restore its own glory as an Empire. Now, I am of the opinion that the Anglo-Sphere is a distinct sub-category of the west and that such a move will happen within that context. Thus, In thinking of a likely scenario of where such a Caesarian figure will arise from, I often think of some sort of coup in the U.S. as the source (Emperor Mattis?), but I decided to consider England as a possibility. Is it possible for the UK to be the heart of Caesarianism from within the Monarchy itself? See my thoughts below, and keep in mind I’m not necessarily an expert on British political structures and that this is all purely hypothetical, but given the Zeitgeist, what could happen? I think this is about as close to creating a realistic scenario for such a possibility as there could be.
II. Hypothetical Scenario for The Restoration of The Crown
Let’s say we have a pretty evenly divided and unpopular parliament, and a recently assassinated conservative prime minister (from a radical leftist) and a scenario where the parliament was looking to ratify a “remain” vote for the EU after the state opening of parliament itself. We also have this planned vote becoming unpopular in the polls due to an uptick in domestic Islamic terrorism, with the remain vote in parliament having an approval of less than 22% among eligible voting Brits.
Now, in the interim, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles are killed by an Islamic extremist and William takes the throne in a series of events that shocks the world, with footage of the bloodied queen laying amongst burning rubble in the street being seen across the world (we’ll assume this was an attack on the motorcade), and a picture of the crown laying on the pavement, with a small blood smear on the front, becoming the front cover picture on almost every magazine in the world and a symbol of Britain’s crisis.
The King, who is extremely popular and adored (along with his family), refuses to allow the state opening of parliament and declares the realm of Britain as unilaterally independent of the EU, much to the praise of the United States (which is under a trump-like nationalist government), and several eastern European states which have formed a new anti-EU bloc under the leadership of Poland.
The head of Labour, leading the majority of parliament along with many from the opposition parties, declares that Parliament shall meet irrespective of the King’s approval. The King declares that such shall not meet because such is illegal and those who oppose the King will be detained by force if necessary and appeals to the Armed Forces, which have sworn loyalty to him (as they actually do now) and not parliament, to prevent such an opening of Parliament and uphold the rightful authority of the Crown.
The King also made clear, in a speech, that he intends to restore the Glory of England, the Power of the Monarchy and purge the violence of Islamic extremism from her streets, and both restore and reform the Dignity of the fallen Church of England. The United States, under a Trump or Trump-Like Figure, though shocking to some, has vowed aid and even assistance in England’s break from the EU economically and has shown a general support for this monarch and his strong approach. [There is likewise a conservative government in Canada that came as a backlash to changes made from the previous Trudeau regime, I’ll let you decide how other Anglo-states fit into this scenario…]
These events also coming at a time when there is a great degree of general sympathy among working class people in Europe and America over what they have seen in wall-to-wall coverage of the terrorist killing of the royal family, akin to the coverage seen during the death of princess Diana, only greater.
So, given the above, what happens next? Please fill in the details. Would the monarchy be restored? Will an Anglo-Sphere alliance form? Let me know your thoughts.
Also give me reasons and scenarios of your own for or against a return of the monarchy.
