The struggle between the U.S. and Russia for the influence in the world goes on. After Russia has won the victory in Syria, Washington tries to keep its position in the Middle East, but for this it needs to force Moscow to switch off from the Middle East by all means.
There was an attempt to sparkle the forgotten conflict between Israel and Palestine, but the forces were too unequal and the Arab countries supported Palestine only rhetorically. Then the White House made an attempt to replace Palestine with Lebanon. It even invented a reason (Block 9 deposit), but Iran stood up for Lebanon and Putin was somewhere with his new weapons.
Then Washington decided to develop its provocative activity near the Russian borders. But again there was a problem: neither Ukraine, nor the U.S. ships in the Black Sea and the NATO bases could destabilize the situation.
And the U.S. recalled the conflict between Georgia and Russia. According to analysts, the main goal of America in the South Caucasus is to establish a base on the territory of Azerbaijan, on the Apsheron Peninsula. And what has that to do with Georgia?
For the U.S. Georgia is a stepping stone in the South Caucasus. Currently it is the only country where Washington can locate its contingent. So, helping the government of Georgia, Washington is preparing the ground for its presence in the region. Every year, crowds of military come in Tbilisi from overseas and allure Georgia with money, membership in various organizations. They even offered to protect the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline.
The only goal is to replace the Russian military with the American military in the region. Beside the color revolutions the U.S. uses another method in the post-Soviet countries. For example, it opens a fund on the territory of Georgia, then they begin to invest huge amount of money in it, and then stop doing it. And those organizations and government members come to them with a request to return, and others who has seen how the U.S. sponsored them. In this way the White House arranges a tender, who can offer more.
In Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan near the Russian borders the U.S. military bases were established in order to monitor the situation in Afghanistan. In the West due to the NATO accession of the Eastern European countries the Alliance forces came close to the territory of Russia. Expert of the New York University Stephen Cohen said that Georgia was a key position in the new alignment of forces. The struggle between Russia and the U.S. for influence in Georgia can lead to the most dangerous conflict resembling the Cold War era. He only forgot to add that Georgia and its people would be responsible for all the consequences of this struggle.

The South Ossetia War was already fought 10-years ago, and the battle-cry of the Russians then was 'Yankees go home.'

I don't reckon the US hand has strengthened in the intervening time. The Russians might be laughing, if not for the minor inconvenience revisiting the conflict might entail for them.
