If Corbyn and his aides were so popular they could simply pull the same trick as Nigel Farage, i.e. form a breakaway party and win all the support and votes, without having to compromise with "mainstreamers".
To a lesser extent, they can "lead" the mainstreamers to follow their will more by doing this. (IMHO "fringe" parties like Green Party work this way)
I am a bit surprised that Corbynites here cannot see this.
Or they are actually aware of their true appeal but are simply in denial?
