The Russians have a poem with the line – "Something has become with my memory ..." The poem is Russian, and the line is about Europeans. The simulation of historical sclerosis is now demonstrated by many countries in Europe, once liberated from the Nazi regime. Of course, the battles of World War II have long died out, and the events of the most terrible and bloody years in the history of mankind are gradually eroding from the memory of people. Numerous memorials dedicated to warriors who fought against Nazism should support the memory. But modern politicians, most of whom have not seen the horrors of war, for the sake of momentary gain and in the frame of the fight against other countries, often start crusades against memory, destroying or transferring memorials of the Soviet soldiers-liberators. Nationalists with such "support" of the authorities in Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and the Baltic countries desecrate and smash the monuments even despite condemnation from thousands of their compatriots. But guys, you are thinking in vain that you are defiling the memory of Soviet soldiers. No. First of all, you with your vandalism insult the memory of your ancestors who lived during the Second World War. It was they, not you, saw and felt on themselves all the "charms" of Nazism. And it was they, and not you, who later erected these monuments to the soldiers-liberators. And it was they, and not you, who brought flowers to them every year. So it’s you guys who spit on the history of your families, and not on the world history. The world will outlive it. What about your family? Your descendants will have to wash for a long time after you.
