The largest economy in the world is the US, with China quickly catching up. Security? Thanks to multiculturalism they’re plagued by terrorism.

You can’t reform the EU, it’s anti-democratic. The European parliament doesn’t have the power to implement laws and although it has the right to veto, the final decision is that of its commissioners. Same as the USSR. You’re trying to explain to me why a system modelled on the old Soviet Union works because it’s had a name change.

When these regimes arise, just like the USSR, they go on for a while and then collapse. They don’t change. Shared debt? I wonder which countries will finance that. :) Germany has already considered the possibility of a Dexit as have others. Building a multicultural socialist utopia was only going to work until the money started to run out.

The main problem with the EU:
- Benefits corporations that displace local business (obviously because corporations are the main users of European wide trade and labor).
- More and more Brussels laws that actually infringe on national laws. For example, Poland & Hungary are being almost threatened because they refuse to agree to forced migrant quotas.

So the main feeling among the European citizen, who is mainly a small business owner or employee in a local firm, is of completely disconnection with the EU and what it does.

Also, from a government level, only establishment parties can get elected since their policies have to fit the EU charter to be even allowed. That leads to a feeling that our governments are just puppets of the greater EU project.

Finally, the problem with the EU project is that it is no greater European Empire or Charlemagne Empire. Such a thing would have at least pleased most Western Europeans (except the British). But it is not so. At the end of the day, the EU is just a tool for the big capitalists, who make billions each year from EU trade. They are also the ones pushing for open borders and mass movement of people across the EU (more customers and workers).
