French public transportation infested with bedbugs, possibly brought by migrants coming from other unsanitary parts of the world

There is a huge problem in the Paris region in France with bedbugs -- tiny insects that bite and suck out blood -- infesting trains and public buses.

It's well known that travelers can carry bedbugs. A huge number of migrants coming from Africa have headed to the Paris region. Many of these migrants haven't bathed in weeks.
Most of these migrants are coming from less sanitary parts of the world.

The tiny insects often nest in mattresses, and can burrow into luggage and clothes.

"Bedbugs are a public health problem and must be declared as such," Paris Deputy Mayor Emmanuel Grégoire wrote in a letter to French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne. "It really is a national emergency," Grégoire warned.

In recent weeks, videos of bedbugs in trains and on the Paris metro have circulated on the internet. According to French news, bedbugs disappeared from France around 1950 before making a comeback in the 1990s due to increased international travel.

"European travellers and Third World immigrants are being blamed for bringing the bugs back to the US, with 28 American states reporting recent infestations."

"Potter said that immigrants and guest workers play a significant role in transmitting bed bugs. This is clear especially in some large cities where people translocate frequently and occupy a place briefly such as hotels or motels. New York, California, and Florida have the highest rates of bed bugs' infestation. These states have also higher rates of immigrants and frequent transportation rates."

European people, who have traditionally lived in societies with far lower levels of diversity than the U.S., seem to be ignorant about how mass migration and increasing diversity will bring filth and other problems to public transportation. Many Europeans are totally ignorant about the reasons why so many people in the U.S. are averse to taking public transportation. As this continues in the future, I suspect that Europe will become more and more like the U.S. Will the European middle class still want to take public transportation when it becomes filthy, smelly, unhygienic, and unsafe? In many areas of the U.S. if there is any fabric on the seats the stench from the homeless population will penetrate into the fabric and it's near impossible to get rid off.
