Not silly at all. The Chavistas destroyed the economy, caused 270 % inflation, increased poverty since 2012, and are well known for enormous corruption. Coupled to the high crime this easily created a huge landslide win for the unity democratic faction. The Maduristas are taking a hard line, moving towards a fujimori type coup. But the people seem inclined to fight them.
You know what's silly? Being an expert Marxist ignopedist from an European university, and trying to advise Venezuelans, like your friend Serrano is doing.
