Ah, socialists. Wanting everything for free without taking any responsibility for themselves. Then they blame others when the hand outs stop.
Maybe they don't start subsistence farming as they are all fine and are living in a socialist paradise? Maybe the entire economic "crisis" is a myth manufactured by (((media barons))) using their power to push their version of the text to try to discredit the socialist victories of the Venezuelan people? Maybe the real people suffering a
crisis are all the people of North America sacrificing their children on the altar of their god the mighty automobile in tens of thousands of fatal car accidents a year?
My new Venezuelan pal here, who maintains an Arepas/Cachapas -foodtruck, said that the fault is the Venezuelans themselves, especially their terrible moral character and how dishonest things are there. This was always the case, according to him. Nothing changed when the socialists came into power.
I think it goes deeper than that but it's sad that when people suffer, it's always the fault of some fantastical being, and not the society itself.

I saw that when I had to travel a lot in Africa. Whenever we were landing in a country without oil, like Ethiopia, we saw all those agricultural plots near the city. But in places with oil, like equatorial Guinea or Gabon, nothing but jungle. It looks like the people of Venezuela were used to getting food without growing it.
Indeed. Any country who can't be self-sufficient in its food supply is pretty much fucked, and can be kicked around by those who supply its food.
