I recall from younger days watching the daily television horrors of the Vietnam war.
Americans bombing Vietnamese, American shooting Vietnamese, Americans torturing Vietnamese.
But in 1975 I was intrigued by a news item from a journalist in Saigon who covered the "liberation"
of the city. There was no cheering crowd. The journalist, like many others, was told "No cameras!
No cameras!!!"
(anyone recall that famous photo of the naked Hue girl napalmed? No cameras were there to cover the
mass killings of the citizens of Hue by the Nth Vietnamese. And no cameras to cover the digging up
of their bodies by the Sth Vietnamese and Americans later on.)
And so it is with Hamas. No cameras to show what it does to its own people. No cameras to show what
it does to Israelis. But plenty of cameras to show what Israelis do to Palestinians when Israelis can be
provoked.
Who are the targets of these selective images? The gullible.
