It's clear they don't have the guts to interview real pirates. Too risky - much easier just to get an actor. It's not like their target audience can tell the difference. What journalistic standards?

Kenya has a Somali ethnic minority. When I was there I used to visit a village where they lived. And we had orders from the government not to drill water wells and leave them for the natives because this could cause tribal conflicts. These were very acute in the region because marauders with Ak47s would come over from Somalia and Sudan. My guess is these newsmen were in Mombasa and hired real Somalis from Kenya.
