modern Trotskyism is a self-contradictory and muddled ideology often held by middle-class trustafarians with no actual grasp either of Trotsky's ideas or socialist thought in general.

Why is it bad to be a middle class Marxist? None of Marx, Engels, Lenin, Trotsky, Luxembourg, or Gramscii were working class. Lenin clearly stated that working class people are utterly incapable of creating socialism without the intellectual leadership of middle class and Bourgeois intellectuals. Seems like if one is a working class Marxist one should be grateful that Middle class and upper class people have deigned to lead the socialist movement.

In October 1917 working class people had got far too big for their boots. So Lenin set about putting working class people back in the place and smashing every vestige of working class power starting with the rail workers unions, moving on the factory committees and the re constituting the city soviets when the workers stupidly voted for the wrong parties. Finally the Noble Lenin and his middle class side kicks had to deal with uppity working class people within the party like Shilapnikov who didn't know when to defer to the their middle class intellectual betters.
