It's only free in that we pay for healthcare via our taxes, and so when ANYONE gets sick or hurt, they can go to the hospital without having to pay out of pocket.

Canadians do not go to hospitals to see a doctor. We have family doctors. We can go to a walk-in clinic. A hospital is for emergencies that a family/clinic doctor cannot handle, or after clinic hours.

What do Americans think goes on in Canada, with healthcare? :?: We get really good healthcare.

Trump has conceded his Trumpcare will not be perfect due to disagreement among groups in Congress.
However, he still expects it to be terrific once it is worked on by both the House and the Senate.
He said even if it was perfect, there would still be opposition by the Democrats.

It's far from perfect. It's even worse than what he wants to replace. How is that an improvement, when the only people getting breaks are the rich?

The sad thing is, preventative care is the cheapest form of care. Preventing care is the priciest. You'd think employers would value a healthy staff. And pricing older folks out of healthcare, cutting seniors benefits after supporting these institutions for a lifetime is evil. Cruel and evil.

Yep, in the U.S. the healthcare industry only get paid if you are sick. There is no incentive to keep you well. What folks don't realize is that there is no "free" healthcare in the U.S. Every bit of it is being paid for by someone, already. The illegal alien who goes to the emergency room for his runny nose is being paid for by the tax payers. Providing them "free" medical care in a clinic would actually save money.
