– The government should create a meal tracker app such as MyFitnessPal or Lifesum and promote it to the people and how to use it properly.
– A more significant focus on moderation rather than healthy diet. Most people will be able to stick to a more healthier lifestyle if their diet allows cheat meals. A couple of cheat meals per week is beneficial in some cases.
– Middle school should have a nutrition unit where students learn about how many calories they burn a day without and with activity. Learn the importance of water to reduce food cravings. They should learn how to use a government app or MyFitnessPal to understand the basics. The students will learn how to count calories by just looking at the food (A banana has approximately 100 calories, meaning I have 2900 calories left). Simple awareness and education can create a society that is focused on living a life of moderation, making them less obese and opening they way of self-wanted-activity.
