I am from Syracuse, New York. Recently retired tractor trailer driver who enjoys long pensive walks in both the city and in the country. I am a political novice and have decided to study such things in my "old age" as I have jumped on the Bernie Bandwagon. Trotsky, I suppose if I must pick, but what little I have read Bakunin seems very interesting.

Interesting, well I look forward to your contribution. Do you think Sanders has a chance at getting the nomination next time and do you think the Dems would have won if he had beat Killery last time for the leadership?

As long as socialism remains a dirty word in the United States, I don't think anyone who adheres to those principles has a chance.

I am disappointed he did not not get the nod as I invested a great deal of time and energy and was quite excited about his candidacy. I was shocked that Trump won, so my ability to predict is quite poor.

I was quite glad Trump won as it will be megalulz. But then I don't have to live in the US of course.

I agree with you that Bernie didn't stand a chance in the US.
It made me so angry to find out how his own party betrayed him in such a vicious way.

That said, I welcome you as an older poster. This board used to be dominated by young naive whippersnappers, when I joined the average age was 19, but even they have now grown up to late twenties early thirties so their brains have developed a little more
