VVD - People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (Leader: PM Mark Rutte)
PVV - Freedom Party (Leader: Geert Wilders)
CDA - Christian Democratic Appeal (Leader: Sybrand Buma)
D66 - Democrats 66 (Leader: Alexander Pechtold)
Green-Left - (Leader: Jesse Klaver)
SP - Socialist Party (Leader: Emile Roemer)
PvdA - Labour Party (Leader: Lodewijk Asscher)

A poor showing for Geert and Labour and an excellent showing for Greens and D66 social-liberals.

The Guardian wrote:Angela Merkel congratulates Rutte

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has congratulated Mark Rutte on his party’s strong showing in the 2017 election in a telephone conevrsation. According to Merkel spokesman Steffen Seibert, she said:

"I look forward to working with you as friends, neighbours and Europeans."

Not the anti-EU result a lot of people were expecting. Netherlands leaving the EU is 100% off the table with this result for the next 5 years. If anything the result of this election is going to lead to more EU instead of less in the case of the Netherlands.

For the rest there's most likely going to be little change in current policy. The VVD is still the biggest which will most likely lead to a center-right coalition. So that's more to the right than the current center coalition we have. But in case GroenLinks decides to join that coalition then we would have pretty much the same center coalition we have now.

There is a very small chance that a center-left coalition will form which would still be pro-EU.

Pretty much every party in the Netherlands has excluded Geert Wilders' PVV from forming a coalition so I don't see them getting any more influence than they had prior to the elections.

It was going to be bad either way with the kind of system the Netherlands has. It would have basically meant snap elections. Netherlands just isn't there overall but it is interesting how far the overton window has moved to the right. Multiple other parties were projecting nationalist attitudes in shallow ways which might say a lot. That could be the new normal for now in Europe.

It looks like the Netherlands will take their chances with national suicide instead.

Western Europe is stacked

Eastern is just fine(in terms of not allow migrants in) besides we're a shithole anyway, slightly better than some African countries but not much. You people should have just left the ME and Africa alone as the Communist Bloc did. You're greed and evil finally backfires, if this ain't proof God exist, I don't what is.

The (western) Muslim-Left alliance will bring hell to Europe but they can't help it because of their history

No they're stopping Europe, cause we ALL know YOUR history, and we do not like to repeat that again. Besides, the "left" is just liberals which is right wing by nature. The real Left understands and destroys reactionaries and their anti-labor,female, minority policies where ever/ when ever they're in control. Look at all the "communist" states in the world: Do you really believe they have a Muslim/anti-women problem? Hell look at the Eastern Bloc, not one Islamic terror attack and the former Islamic Soviet states are more freer from religious dogma than america. Go to communism Noir, you want to increase your white race, you want to stop terror attacks, accept Marx into your heart.

Superficially this is a loss, but isn't the winning party also the people who kicked the Turks out of Rotterdam, another party (CDA) was calling on the Dutch Queen to renounce her Argentinian citizenship. Nationalism is still making progress even if Geert didn't come in first. If he had come in first just barely and been unable to form a coalition, it might have been worse for the nationalist movement than him coming in 2nd or 3rd was.

Also, like Marine le Pen, he's fairly young. He will still be doing this in ten years.

On the bright side it is the best electoral performance yet for PVV. Maybe it has to get worse before it can get better, as Lenin used to say.

It's a possibility. The second round of voting could be difficult for her. But I think the French people know that it is her destiny to become president. She is their Joan of Arc.
